Thank You, David!

This evening, I received a call from Yan (Pizza Boy).

"Eh, what are you doing? Free or not?"

"Nothing leh. Free. Why?"

"Wanna go dinner? David treats!"

"Hah? David wanna treat? Cannot be lah!"

"Serious! I pick you up at 5:50p.m."

The clock showed 5:30p.m. already and I quickly changed my clothes and waited for Yan.

We went to the very same restaurant which I celebrated my birthday last year. However, this time, it was what I didn't expect! Read on...

Snow Crab with Sweet Chilli and Egg Sauce!

They actually ordered a snow crab! You know how expensive is a snow crab? It's so expensive that I don't think I'm going to order this dish any time sooner! The snow crab was fried with sweet chilli and egg sauce. It had more meat than the normal crab and the meat tasted sweet and tender. Out of 5, I would like to give it a 4. ;)

Man Tou (Deep Fried Buns).

The waitress recommended us this man tou to be eaten with the sauce. It's a bit crispy outside and soft inside. Good stuff!

Don't-know-what-chicken.

Yan ordered this don't-know-what-chicken. The chicken strips was well mixed with batter before they were deep fried. It tasted alright but can still be improved.

Cuttlefish Deep Fried with Salted Egg Yolk.

I couldn't remember what is the actual name of this dish. I had it once when I was having my birthday dinner here. It's one of the recommended dishes from me.

Look at all those dishes...

Two other dishes that we ordered were Kangkung With Belacan and Sizzling Toufu. Nothing to shout about for this two dishes.

The boss, Black David.

This is the boss who paid for the bill. Don't ask me how much was the dinner. Looking at the above photo with his middle finger up (censored), you can roughly guess the dinner wasn't cheap! Anyway, thanks a lot for the dinner, David! :)

Finished almost everything.

I think everyone around the table had not tried the snow crab before until today. It was a whole new experience for us. No doubt, it was a sumptuous dinner.

From left to right: Yan, David, Qi Wei, Firman, Kok

I think this was a sort of farewell dinner for Yan. Yan is going back to Singapore for good. All the best to you, Yan! Do keep in touch!

Again, David, thanks for the snow crab!:)

P/s: Sorry, guys. I know I'm supposed to continue on my Adelaide Day 4 but this snow crab resisted me to do so. Anyway, it's definitely going to be my next post. :)

Aunty Judy: Hahaha! Yea, I noticed that too!:P Poor David...

Aud$280? Hmm...probably that price because of the snow crab.

David is my "boss" for that night because he treated us a dinner. Actually he's my senior in uni. ;)

Dr. Joy: When's your birthday? I guess all your Goddess will celebrate it with you eh?

bamboo: It's a "Singapore Restaurant" near Billy Lee at Northbridge there. The food is just so so lah I guess. Maybe can find better Chinese restaurants.

Yea, snow crab is very expensive. Don't dare to eat also if David didn't treat. The waitress doesn't recommend to us. Just that, David said, give it a try. So we ordered. haha! She did suggest the way to cook the crab. That's actually Singapore style of cooking crab eh? haha! Poor David...:P

wokandspoon: The crab! Waiyooo...I don't think I'll have the second chance of eating it. hehe. Thanks for the compliment bout the photos. :)

What a generous "boss" --- wish I had a senior like that in my uni days. Maybe if I had been a more good junior like you, I might have gotten more treats! Ah well, too late for that now...

Just ate snowcrabs in a restaurant after the burial ceremony of my FIL. Guilty of the rise in my cholestrol. Have to confess to the doctor when the result will show a high cholestrol level after the blood test on this Saturday

So, you took the last photo after David paid the bill and that's why he wasn't smiling??? Hee hee....

kenny: Ya, it's hard to find such a good senior. Maybe it's just one out of a hundred. Nolah, I'm not a good junior. haha! You don't have a chance to be a nice junior? Never mind, you can be a nice senior to me too, can? *wink* ;)

joe: Suprisingly, the dinner is less than Aud$200 including the crab! I just found out from David. Cheap huh?

Aunty Alice: Alamak, crabs will increase your cholestrol level? Hmm... you should watch what you eat oh. Next time got snow crabs, don't eat. Call Kok to help you. :P

wmw: hahaha! How come you know I took the pic after David has paid the bill? hahaha!

xiu long bao: I just found out from David that the total bill was less than Aud$200. I think it's considered cheap when you have a snow crab as dish.

shionge: I prefer good company. hehe. That's the best. :)
