Long queue!
It was a shocking news for everyone as the increase was not expected to be that much. Many started to complain or whine about how tough the life is going to be with such increase.
No longer RM1.91 per litre.
However, it's already a fact now. No matter how hard we complain, we won't be able to pump our petrol at RM1.91 per litre anymore. We just have to accept it...
Chinese New Year ah?
I find it quite true of what Lydia Teh wrote in her blog...
Perhaps, we just have to cut down unnecessary expenses especially on food. No more eating out? Or we just have to eat grass? :(
Don’t complain you don’t have money when you still drink coffee that costs RM10 per cup. Or eat a slice of carrot cake that costs RM5. I’m not saying we shouldn’t splurge once in a while for a treat. But if we regularly eat stuff like this, it’s no wonder our pockets will be burned through with a hole the size of Mars.
Perhaps, we just have to cut down unnecessary expenses especially on food. No more eating out? Or we just have to eat grass? :(

It's the same here. Price of gasoline went up from June 1st. Have to be wise in our spending. I am one who hardly drinks Starbucks.
Yes Kok, I read about the unhappiness over in Malaysia, looks like not just petrol price has increased....seems like everything ;(
Being a net oil exporter country, we should be showered with money with the rise in global prices. Like the middle east countries or even Brunei. Wonder why we just get poorer & poorer.
kok, but I thought the price remain the same for that side of our country?
Aunty Alice: It's unavoidable, looking at the price of the crude oil which went up so much. Here in Miri, we don't even have Starbucks. :(
shionge:When the petrol price increased, everything will follow an increase. The reason, petrol is related to one and another...
tummythoz: True enough. Could it be our "uncles" who always drink "kopi"? ;)
yenjai: No no, they increased as well. How I wish it could remain the same...

I watched the news on TV and read the papers..... it's getting harder to make a living and feed a family these days.
Thanks for your prayers for Jaymes’ speedy recovery. He was discharged from hospital this afternoon. :)

The petrol in Malaysia is still cheaper than Singapore's. :(
Most prices of things are cheaper than Singapore's. :(
The salary in Singapore are also not going up.
And more people are getting sick - physically - due to the stress of high living costs and fear of losing their jobs.
from RM1.90 - RM2.70 ... that's a huge jump :( oh my goodness!
Everything has gone up. My age also went up! :)
Over here, £1.29 per litre for diesel. :) Bread is £1.30 a loaf.
Judy
Yes, need to eat out less...flogger will now start showcasing more home cook food :o)
Eat less food, spend less on food.... good for me on diet. hehe...
Hmmm.. this is happening round the globe, Kok. The price of petrol shot up to a record high of A$1.65 per liter yesterday and this will of course increase the cost of Food and everything else.. The sales have started earlier this year due to a drop in our national spending, it looks like everybody is 'tightening their belts'.
squall: Can lah. Just save more... hehe.
ecl: Aiyo, Malaysia is worse than Singapore leh. Malaysia is a country which exports petrol, yet, the petrol still costs so much.
Most things are cheaper in Malaysia but the average income per person is still lower than those in Singapore.
Salary in Singapore is not going up but that happens to Malaysia as well.
So, you don't encourage me to try my luck in Singapore? hehe.
mommibee: That's a 40% increase. :( The price is going to be revised again in August. Another increase?
Aunty Judy: Age went up but young in heart!:)
So, buy less petrol and buy more bread? kekeke. :P
wmw: Yes yes! Show me your cooking skill! hehe.
carol: Gosh! Aud$1.65/litre? That time before I left Perth in April, it was Aud$1.50. And the day when I first reached Perth in 2004, it's only 80cents!
Yes, I guess everyone has to tighten their belt...
