Coca Cola

"What's the flavour of the famous Coca Cola?"

This question has popped up in my mind for a long time and I have asked several people but no one can give me an exact answer to it. It has been almost two decades from the first time I drank Coca Cola. I think now is the time to find out what exactly is this cola flavour.

Cola Nuts.

Browsing the net gives me an answer to my question. Cola flavour is obtained from a kind of nut namely Cola Nut. There are various species of Cola Nuts. Of course, I don't think I can find the exact Cola Nuts which are used for Coca Cola. That is a secret receipe for Coca Cola.

That's how Cola Nuts look like.

"Colas were originally blends of extracts of the coca leaf and the cola nut, mixed with sugar water." (http://sci-toys.com/ingredients/soft_drinks.html) That's how Coca Cola got it's name I guess. Coca leaf and Cola Nut.

Never thought that Coca Cola is actually a flavour from Cola Nuts eh?
