Dim Sum And Beef Noodle

My yee yee told me I should not miss the beef noodle at Lintas, Sabah. Therefore, we went there for brunch according to her plan.

Full of people!

Once I reached the place, I saw a familiar signboard; Foo Phing Dim Sum. This dim sum restaurant was established at Miri. However, it was closed down although the business was so good. No idea why, though.

The place which has great beef noodle was just next to Foo Phing Dim Sum. I grabbed a table at the beef noodle stall while my yee yee went to ta pao (take away) some dim sum. According to her, we couldn't order the dim sum to the beef noodle stall. Only ta pao is allowed. That's what I called business eh?

Har Gao (prawn dumplings), Siu Mai (meat dumplings), Char Siu Bao (barbecue pork buns).

Chee Cheong Fun (rice noodle rolls).

Anyway, she came back with few varieties of dim sum. Among all, I like the Chee Cheong Fun most. Maybe because it came with lots of belacan (shrimp paste). :)

Can you guess how much dim sum I ate? My yee yee forced kindly offered me to finish up one Char Siu Bao, two Har Gao, one and a quarter serve of Chee Cheong Fun and one Siu Mai. That's not the end of my brunch...

Beef Noodle Kueh Tiaw.

Here comes the long waiting Beef Kueh Tiaw. Love at first sight? No! This is the first time I saw some melons white radish floating in a bowl of Beef Kueh Tiaw. To make it worse, the broth did not seem to be thick enough.

Again, thin kueh tiaw.

But, but, but, I was wrong! Never judge a book by it's cover! The beef balls and the slices of beef were more than just good! The beef was not rough at all and the beef balls were springy. That's not all! The broth, which at first didn't look appealing to me, taste awesome too! I think the melonswhite radish did some tricks there. Awww... I don't know how to describe anymore. You just need to try it yourself. ;)

After finishing that whole big bowl of Beef Kueh Tiaw (my yee yee insisted that I should finish everything and not to share it with her!), I felt like cutting my stomach open and took out some of the food. I was just too full!

That's just beginning of the day. More eating coming up...

The beef noodle is something unique! It must be delicious with those white radish (not melon lah) in it which I normally boil soup with.

Dislike places where the stalls are territorial about sitting places. Make eating a wide variety of dishes difficult.
