Mee Sua.You can get some raw Mee Sua there. Not only it's cheaper than other places but it also tastes better than those we can get in the supermarket.

Dried under the sun.For those who don't know what's Mee Sua, it's a kind of noodle. It is something like rice vermicelli but it definitely tastes different. The Foochow cooks it in chicken soup and my mama has her own dry version.
Gong Pia.
Gong Pia.Another thing that you can get in Sibu is the famous Gong Pia. Dalicia, now you know how Gong Pia look like eh? ;)

Small and light, topped with sesame seeds.Gong Pia is a small flat piece of Foochow biscuit. It's more towards the chewy type of biscuit and often, it is eaten with stuffed minced meat. For only RM1, you can get 5 pieces of that. That's how cheap it is!
So now if you happened to drop by Sibu, Sarawak, aparts from eating the popular Kampua (also known as Kolo mee), you can get those fresh Mee Sua or those Foochow bagles. :)

Hmm...maybe if you drop by Miri, you can also consider going to Sibu. Lots of Foochow's delicacies in Sibu. :)

Yeah, Gong Pia and mee sua..all foochow food. I grow up in a foo chow town of Sitiawan and I love to eat gong pia and mee sua. I have eaten more than a kilo of mee sua myself these 4 weeks with my kampung chicken soup. Wherever there is foo chow or hock chiew people there is always mee sua and gong pia. I will show you how I cook my mee sua the 'kon loh' way next in my blog. Had my primary and secondary education in Sarikei till I further my study in uni. My family only shifted to Kuching end of 2004 :)

Aiyak, Sarikei is famous for the sweet pineapple leh. Bintangor is the town which is famous for limau :)
